Spornes a morning in January

Life consists of many paradoxes. Even I am one of those who love sun and heat and hate cold weather. At the same time, I love the colors and the interaction between the colors that originate here in Norway and in the north during the most extreme weather conditions we have here.

This picture taken at Spornes at Tromøya in Arendal in 2011 was taken a very cold and expensive morning. It was more than minus ten degrees of cold and, despite being well dressed, it was cold. It was expensive because the lens I used this morning collapsed and has since not been used. This imagine is a part of the horizon, just before the sun is to rise.  The picture below is an other part.

This picture is taken with very long exposure, 172 seconds, or almost three minutes. Something you see of the slightly long light strip on the horizon, which is a ship that sails up Skagerak.
