Oksøy Lighthouse

Oksøy Fata Morgana

At the entrance to Kristiansand, Norway from the seaside, both Grønningen and Oksøy Lighouse thunder on each side.  This morning I was out with friends for the morning walk with our dogs, then i got this view.  Unfornautly I did not bring the camera, but rushed home and got it, took my car and went back to Tangen Ytterst, and got this motive.  Its like a farytail where the island is sailing in the cloud.  Thats why I have called this picture, Oksøy Fata Morgana.

Oksøy Blue Hour

For a person who loves sun and heat, it's a paradox to admit that winter is best when it comes to light and color. The winter's blue colors are just amazing, like Oksøy Lighthouse here baths in all the blue shades.

Oksøy seen from Flekkerøy

This picture is taken just after sunset and just after the moon has risen, in the blue hour. This day was one of the two days of the year where the moon is closest to the earth, which is often called "supermoon" or in the language of the language - Lunar Perigee. This phenomenon I have experienced sometimes now, and there are very special experiences. Especially because it gets so quiet as the moon breaks over the horizon, but and because the blue color turns so blue. I do not know another way of saying it and I have been allowed to take some very special pictures on such occasions. It will be like heaven and the sea melted together, and everything and everyone in nature will stop looking at.

Here I have also used a developmental technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR) consisting of taking a series of images with different exposure of the same subject, with camera on tripod. And in the development they melted together. In this case, the image consists of five exposures. This is a technique that allows a large amount of data to work with, a great depth of image, but not least a color scheme that makes it almost an experience to look at a photograph just as you watch television.
