Beaches of Fevik

Many connect a beach of sun, bustling lives and bathing children and adults. But for us who seek the peace and tranquility of the forest, it is a special delight to sit under the trees and feel the warm breeze of the spring. There is a small bench here where one can sit out over the fjord and know the scents of seaweed and tare, to hear the birds singing in the woods around.

Storesand

Storesand is the innermost Storeandfjord, and is the beach that has been voted Norway's most beautiful beach. This picture may be the most used by Grimstad Addressetidene, which I has been given my permission to use it editorially. Especially when in connection with a major discussion in 2014 about the utilization of adjacent areas for commercial development. The undersigned participated in the discussion in the newspaper and used my pictures for everything they were worth to protect the area of outdoor air and recreation for future generations.  I fight we won.

Storesand Eyebolt

I grow up here, I played here as a kid, here I learned to swim. Here we had our boat and down here I have had many good times, both with friends, family and with my love and our dog. Today, the beach is turned into a free area and it is no longer possible to use the place as a fixed boat space, but here our barges lay as we used for day trips, playing and laying out lobster tunes in the fall during lobster fishing.

Hollefjell,  red Sunset

As a beach it is most natural that summer is a lot of people and lives and touch here. But, for those who like to be out, it is perhaps cold winter days the area is emerging with its absolute color scheme.

Sunrise in Storesand

I want to dare the assertion that there are not so many who have seen the sunrise in Storesand. So, therefore, I thought I would just like to prove that it may actually happen, after a period of sunshine. Here in February. An amazing moment.

Fevikodden

It's days one wakes up with thoughts that one does not always find out, and then it's been for me that a good trip by the sea is a good help to sort thoughts and to find solutions to everyday challenges. Such a day was this, where I go over to Fevikodden and suddenly the sky looks open and the sun's rays are playing with the light of the Ryvingen and the sea.

Breivika

When living in a country like Norway, how much of the year is dark time, one must master more techniques when one has a photo as a hobby. Night photography is one of these. By the way an exciting technique, where you get lots of shades in landscape, colors and contrasts between light and dark. Especially exciting I thought Furua in the background is where, like the phrase in the National Anthem, "Pine weathered" gets its own meaning.

Long exposure photography from the forrest at Breivika beach, Fevik

I have many thousands of pictures from Fevik and surroundings. Everyone does not fit on a page like this, but as time allows, I will create my own pages for Hasseltangen, Tysåsen and Trollefjell.
